I’m a Bay Area fine-art photographer focused on the Sierra Nevada, the California coast, and the open spaces of the West.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area, and much of my connection to landscape began through years spent running and biking in the surrounding hills. Growing up in a family of artists and musicians also shaped the way I learned to observe, make, and respond to the world around me.

In college, I worked as a staff photographer for the Spartan Daily, specializing in documentary and sports photography. That experience taught me to look for the essential moment, remove what is unnecessary, and build images that can stand on their own.

My landscape work is quieter. I’m drawn to weather, granite, water, trees, distance, and the tension between stillness and movement. Rather than simply recording a location, I try to reduce the landscape to its essential forms—tone, texture, structure, atmosphere, and scale.

Most of my work is black and white, and I often photograph at dawn, dusk, or in unsettled conditions when familiar places briefly become something different.

I make photographs that are meant to be lived with—images that reveal themselves slowly and bring a sense of scale, stillness, and peace into a room.
